Many of the beaches on Majorca are wonderful and a large proportion of these are small coves.

If however you prefer a longer area of fine golden sand, where you can walk or particpate in sports, then you will be impressed by the fabulous beaches at Puerto Pollensa and at Puerto Alcudia. The beach at Puerto Alcudia is the longest on Majorca, extending to more than 5 miles.

You could in fact walk along it from the location of the Information Bureau near the Marina, which is adjacent to the overhead timber bridge at the Alcudia Centre— -to almost as far as Ca`n Picafort, only having to leave the beach because of a short detour at the canal.

Part of the area adjacent to the beach is paved, so you you could walk on the paving, rather than on the sand, if you would find that more comfortable.

One popular feature is that Beach Bar and toilet facilities are provided along sections of the beach and this can be a very welcome feature on a hot sunny day.
