The old town is a walled area of Alcudia which was founded by the Phoenicians and is the oldest town in Majorca. During Roman occupation of the island Alcudia was their capital and there are many remains in the town to mark this important time period.
The old town consists of lots of narrow medieval streets and is a very relaxing place to come and spend time at, there are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants and a number of squares you can sit and watch the world go by.
There are also various small boutique hotels in the old town which are in total contrast to the hotels in Puerto de Alcudia.
