Alcudia old town is attractive and looks exactly as you would expect a small Majorcan town to appear,–with narrow streets, beautiful buildings and several Medieval houses which have long narrow gardens hidden behind fabulous carved wooden entrance doors.
If you like history then you are sure to like the walled old town. The buildings have been renovated over the years and now look magnificent. Once you have been walking around appreciating all that you see, you are sure to be hot and keen to have a refreshment.
There are many small quaint bars in side streets and these are worth going to, however you should also sit in one of the cafes located in the old square.
This is where many of the locals sit, particularly in the mornings and they put the world to right with their happy banter.
If you want to enjoy the old town and be able to meander around, probably better to avoid the Sunday and Tuesday market days.
