The Old Town of Alcudia is certainly one of the most popular locations on the island for those who enjoy relaxing somewhere which has a happy slow pace of life, amidst ancient interesting attractive buildings and offering a good selection of boutique Hotels and authentic Majorcan Restaurants.
The Romans liked the area and they settled here and adopted the town as their capital
and called it–Pollentia.
It is always a good idea when you arrive in a town for the first time, to visit the local Tourist Information Office, because they will give you a map of the town and tell you whatever you want to know about the area.
A new Information Office has opened in the summer of 2010 and is located at the road which is the main
stopping place for local buses.
