Thankfully there is far less interest in bullfighting in Majorca than on mainland Spain, However saying that ‘La lidia’ doe take place in Alcudia, Inca, Palma, Muro and Felanitx. Interest in bullfighting increased in the 1950′s when commercial tourist increased, but from the 1980′s to today interest has dwindled. The season starts on Sant Joan (24th June) in Muro and continues until the end of August with a number of events being held in Palma.
