Alcudia in Majorca lends itself very well to horse riding. From leisurely rides along the coast, to treks through the countryside and even into the mountains. For many people, horse riding is a great way to relax and see Majorca in a way that you just can’t do by car, and getting much further than you could if you were on foot. The trails and paths that lead through the olive groves, and lush woodland are superb for exploring on horseback, and many visitors find that travelling this way gives them a wonderful feel for Majorca’s natural beauty.

There are various places within the region where it is possible to experience horse riding, and whether you are a novice or an experienced rider there is something for everyone.

One place you might like to visit is Ranxo Ses Roques. Here they offer excusions of either 1 or 2 hours long, where you can take a ride with them up into the mountains. They have horses for the experienced rider, and also horses suitable for children and beginners, including ponies for the youngest members of the family.

Ranxo Ses Roques is open from April till the end of October, and you will travel routes which are specially chosen to take you through a natural preserved territory. A 1 hour excursion will cost around 18 euros, and a 2 hour one about 34 euros. As well as this, there is a bar service, and an exotic animal collection which is a delight to see. A small shop on their site serves to offer gifts and mementos of your trip here.
