Majorca really is the ideal holiday destination, because it is located within a short travelling time from the home region of most holidaymakers and you can almost be sure of having hot sunny weather during most of the year.
You can therefore sit on one of the many attractive beaches and simply relax. It does of course occasionally rain, however this is normally a short heavy burst of rain which is over in hours. A shower at times can be very welcome.
There are many wonderful beaches on this green island and many of them are small beautiful coves. There are of course some larger beaches and these will be mentioned in this article.
You will find enjoyable holiday resorts throughout Majorca and a lot depends on the type of holiday which particularly appeals to you. In the northern area you will find both buzzing energetic towns where you could be on the go throughout the day and part of the night,–or you could equally holiday in small quiet sleepy villages where the pace of life is slow and holidaymakers are there to enjoy the sun, read a book and lose all stress.
Here is additional information about various locations which can be reached within about one hour from Palma.
