La Granja
This is one of Majorca’s finest country houses which has been changed into and open air museum of rural life. The best times to visit La Granja are on Wednesday and Friday afternooons when folk dancers perform in the courtyard and women in traditional Majorcan costume provide displays of lacemaking and embroidery.
The tour of the house includes entry to the family chapel, medieval kitchen, dungeons and torture chamber.
Lafiore Glass Factory
Glass has been produced on the island since Roman times and techniques have changed little. Lafiore glass factory offers an insight into glass blowing on the island and you can watch craftsmen at work as they make jugs, vases, glasses for drinking and candle holders which are sold in the factory shop.
